Z107.7 TO HOST TWENTYNINE PALMS CITY COUNCIL FORUM THURSDAY

Z107.7 News will host a Twentynine Palms City Council candidates’ forum at Theatre 29, at 73637 Sullivan Road in Twentynine Palms, on Thursday, October 9, from 6 to 9 p.m. There is no charge. All six of the City Council candidates have been contacted and have indicated they will be in attendance. The format will allow each candidate an opening statement of no more than two minutes. They will then be asked to respond to questions both submitted in advance and by attendees at the forum. The questions will be strictly limited to those, “which can be answered by all of the candidates.” There will be a brief intermission, followed by more questions. The forum will end with each candidate giving a closing statement of no more than two minutes. Z107.7 News Director Gary Daigneault will moderate the program. Twentynine Palms businesswoman Suzi Horn will serve as the judge for the event and review the questions submitted prior to them being asked. C.J. Horn will serve as the event timer.
