YUCCA VALLEY WOMAN BUYING CAR ROBBED AT GUNPOINT

A Yucca Valley woman said she was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday evening when she tried to buy a car. According to a Sheriff’s report, the woman was going to buy a car from a private party and had arranged for the seller to bring the car to her home in the 58700 block of Barron Avenue. The woman told deputies that when the seller and two of his friends arrived about 10 p.m., he pointed a black revolver at her fiancée, and told her to give him the money. The woman attempted to close the door on the suspects, but they pushed it open and entered the home. After the woman gave the suspects the cash, they fled. Deputies searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects, who are described only as Hispanic. Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.
