YUCCA VALLEY TROJAN FOOTBALL TEAM LOSES TO RANCHO MIRAGE

The Yucca Valley High School Trojans lost Friday against the Rancho Mirage High School, 52-22. Coach Andrew Amosa said offensive highlights include junior quarterback Jake Moore with 322 yards passing and two touchdowns. Sophomore Lucas Lopez and two of the three touchdowns on six catches, and Sean Wallace had the other touchdown with nine catches over 100 yards. Tommy Geiger added 110 yards receiving on seven receptions. Defensive standout was sophomore Joe Jennings with 12 tackles.

The Yucca Valley junior varsity won its game Friday against Rancho Mirage 42-6 and will be playing for the league title in their upcoming game against Twentynine Palms November 6.
