The Senior Club of Yucca Valley will present its first lecture tomorrow. Mesquite, its history, health benefits, soil remediation applications, a tool to fight climate change, and as a cash crop will be presented by Clay Elam, who served as a guide for Desert Adventures and has been a teacher for 15 years. The lecture will be tomorrow from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. with a question session to follow. Samples of mesquite foods will be provided. The lecture will be held at the Yucca Valley Senior Center at the Community Center complex.
