YUCCA VALLEY MAN WANTED FOR WARRANTS, USES FAKE NAME

A Yucca Valley man wanted on warrants was arrested Friday afternoon. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy saw Mathew Morones, 34, riding his motorcycle at a high rate of speed on Skyline Ranch Road near Elkins Lane about 1:40 Friday afternoon. The report states that Morones tried to give the deputy a different name, but his true identity was revealed when his driver’s license was found on him. Mathew Morones was arrested on a warrant for possession of stolen property. A report will be forwarded to the district attorney’s office for possible charges for false impersonation.
