YUCCA VALLEY MAN HELD FOR FELONY DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Thursday, accused of assaulting his girlfriend. According to a Sheriff’s report, a woman called 911 about 12:15 a.m. Thursday crying, and saying her boyfriend was trying to hurt her in the 1500 block of Old Woman Springs Road in the Flamingo Heights area of Yucca Valley. The man, later identified as Dennis Dahlen, 30, got into his car and drove away toward the wash in back of the house. Deputies determined that during an argument with his girlfriend, Dahlen grabbed her and pushed her into a wood furnace and knocking her to the ground. Dennis Dahlen was arrested for investigation of felony spouse abuse, booked at the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000.
