A Yucca Valley man was arrested Wednesday night when he was found to be riding a stolen motorcycle. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy attempted to stop Rene Villegas, 28, who was speeding on a street bike with no headlights at 9:25 p.m. near Old Woman Springs Road and Sunnyslope Drive. Villegas ditched the bike and ran off into the desert. Rene Villegas was found about 30 minutes later and arrested for possession of stolen property, and felony failure to yield. He was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $100,000.
