YUCCA VALLEY MAN ARRESTED FOR FELONY SPOUSE ABUSE

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Friday after he got into a fight with his daughter’s mother. According to a Sheriff’s report, a woman in the 6900 block of Mohawk Trail in Yucca Valley called her ex-boyfriend, Gregory Cowdry, 29, to babysit her children while she went to work. Cowdry and the woman began arguing, and the woman told police he spat on her choked her, and pushed her to the ground. Cowdry admitted pushing her to the ground, but claims it was in self-defense to keep her from attacking him. The report states that both Cowdry and the woman have restraining orders against each other. Gregory Cowdry was arrested for investigation of felony spouse abuse, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
