WORKSHOP TOMORROW ON YUCCA VALLEY MEDIAN AND SIDEWALK PROJECT

The Town of Yucca Valley will hold its fourth workshop Wednesday, October 30, on Highway 62 improvements. The construction project will add curbs, gutters, sidewalks, street lights, raised median islands from Apache to Palm Avenues, and a traffic signal at Highway 62 and Church Street. The Town has budgeted $2.9 million for the work, and has received one bid for nearly $2.8 million. The workshop will be held from noon to 1 p.m. October 30 in the Cholla Room of the Community Center.

Although the construction project is scheduled from Apache to Palm Avenues, I’m wondering why the traffic cones go as far west as Inca and why they are removing the new medians that were recently installed when the traffic signal was put in there. Where is the funding coming from to do this job twice?
