WOMAN ARRESTED WITH STOLEN CHECKS AND CREDIT CARDS

A Twentynine Palms woman was arrested Saturday after she was found with stolen checks. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy found Krystle Edwards, 29, sleeping in her car on Mesquite Drive in Twentynine Palms about 11:30 Saturday morning. The deputy found stolen checks and credit cards in her possession. The deputy brought her to her home in the 6700 block of Mesquite Drive where, the report states, her children—ages 2 and 3—were found to be in severe neglect. Her children were released to Child Protective Services and Krystle Edwards was arrested for investigation of being in possession of stolen property. She was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with her bail set at $10,000.
