The Twentynine Palms High School Wildcat Golf team notched its first preseason victory yesterday (Wednesday, March 19) beating Maywood Palm Valley 237-240 at Desert Winds Golf Course. Coach Grant Whipple said standouts for the Wildcats were Brandon Steffin, with a sizzling 2 under par 34, followed by Ty Lueken with a 44, and Justin Delarosa with a 49. The ’Cats are now 1-3 in preseason and take on Xavier Prep next week in an away match.
