Curious about what Yucca Valley’s proposed wastewater treatment will be like? The Hi-Desert Water District is sponsoring a free tour of a wastewater treatment plant in Fillmore on Thursday, November 20. The facility uses membrane bio-reactors to treat its wastewater, the same advanced technology planned for the Yucca Valley sewer plant. Fillmore’s plant serves a population of 15,000 people and treats 1.8 million gallons of wastewater per day. The bus will depart about 7 a.m. and return about 4:30 p.m. Seating is limited.
