VETERAN’S DAY CEREMONY IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

Veteran’s Day is this Wednesday. The City of Twentynine Palms and the Town of Yucca Valley alternate the hosting of ceremonies in the Morongo basin. This year’s Veteran’s Day tribute will be held in Twentynine Palms. The event will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 11, in Veterans Park and will include guest speakers, music by the Marine Sandpiper Joel Daniel, and static displays of law enforcement, fire, and military equipment. Z107.7’s Gary Daigneault will emcee the event. The ceremony begins at 11 a.m. with remarks by Twentynine Palms mayor Joel Klink, the Combat Center’s Commanding General Lewis Craparotta, and Assemblyman Chad Mayes. The ceremony will be followed by a free barbecue. Organizations are invited to participate in the event with a booth or display that reflects U.S. armed forces veterans.
