TWO WOMEN ARRESTED AFTER WAL-MART THEFTS

Two women were arrested Tuesday morning, accused of stealing from Wal-Mart. According to a Sheriff’s report, Sara Wagner, 19, of Palm Springs, and Bree Lewis, 23, of Yucca Valley, were in Wal-Mart about 8 a.m. Tuesday morning when loss prevention personnel said they were tearing tags off inexpensive items and putting them on more expensive items, as well as concealing clothing. After the women went through the self-checkout lane, Sheriff’s deputies detained both women, and determined they both had outstanding warrants for their arrest. Sara Wagner, who was wanted on a $100,000 warrant for use of a controlled substance and was considered a fugitive for violating the terms of her probation, is being held at the Morongo Basin Jail. Bree Lewis, who has three convictions for commercial burglary, and had been ordered to stay away from Wal-Mart, was wanted on a $10,000 warrant. She was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail and released.
