TWENTYNINE PALMS PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVES CELL TOWER ON ADOBE ROAD

At its meeting last night, the Twentynine Palms Planning Commissioners approved a new cell phone tower disguised as a palm tree. The Verizon Wireless tower will give stronger service signals into areas near Twentynine Palms Highway and Adobe Road. The commissioners also discussed a review of an approved extension of time regarding a variance approved at 5372 Chia Ave. The work on the building has shown significant progress. Next, they reviewed an update on whether V.N. Hospitality, operator of the Hotel 29 Palms, was in compliance with its conditions of approval to sell alcohol and discussed a parking variance to allow a restaurant on the south side of Twentynine Palms Highway and east of Encelia The commissioners agreed that significant progress had been made and requested another update in six months.
