TWENTYNINE PALMS MAN ACCUSED OF BEATING PREGNANT GIRLFRIEND

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Sunday, accused of beating his pregnant girlfriend. According to a Sheriff’s report, Erwinthans Boyd, 36, of the 7300 block of Araby Avenue, was arguing with his girlfriend, who is 9 months pregnant, about 6:30 p.m. when the argument turned physical. The report states that Boyd punched the woman in her right cheek and she fell to the ground. Boyd is said to have then grabbed his backpack and phone, ripped a screen from the bedroom window, and left out the back door. Erwinthans Boyd was arrested for investigation of felony spouse abuse, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
