TWENTYNINE PALMS HIGH TENNIS TEAM VICTORY

The Twentynine Palms High School boys’ tennis team visited the Shadow Hills Knights in Indio on Wednesday, April 15. The Wildcats came away with the victory, 14 to 4. The Wildcats were led in singles’ action by Jarod Burks and John Lanza who swept all three of their sets, while Sam Choi won two of his sets. In doubles action, Marcus Simon and Vincent Thomas, and Jose Valdez and Raul Hernandez both won two sets, while Marquis Tarver, Frankfort Muniz, and Billy Perez won two of their sets. Coach William Shay stated that the Wildcats are having an excellent season. The Wildcats are now 8-and-3 overall, and 5-and-1 in conference play. They are currently in second place in the DeAnza League.
