The Twentynine Palms Teen book club will discuss “The Goose Girl” by Shannon Hale at its next meeting, 4 p.m. Thursday May 29. “The Goose Girl” is a re-telling of the Grimm fairy tale. Princess Ani is a princess who is more at home in the casual outdoors than in a formal palace. As a young child, she learns that all creatures have their own language, and she talks with the royal swans, much to her mother’s horror. “The Goose Girl” is available for check-out at the Twentynine Palms Library.
