The Morongo Basin Sexual Assault Services flamingo flock will travel around the Morongo Basin during the month of April. The flamingos carry brochures about Morongo Basin Sexual Assault Services and the fundraiser. Flamingo recipients can make a donation when they receive the flamingos and fill out the attached form of where they would like their teal-feathered friends next. The flamingos will be moved every three days to their next spot. Community members can also come into the office at 57382 Twentynine Palms Highway in Yucca Valley and purchase “insurance” for $10 to be sure that they do not receive the flamingos in their yard. They will also be selling site suggestions for $10. For information, please call 760-369-3353. All donations go to victims of sexual assault in our area.
