THEATRE 29 ANNOUNCES CASTING FOR “URINETOWN, THE MUSICAL”

The second offering of the Theatre 29 2015 Season is the edgy new show, “Urinetown the Musical.” It is in rehearsals now and reporter Rebecca Havely has the full cast list…
Theatre 29 director Gary Daigneault and music director Ed Will are excited to announce the following performers have been cast in “Urinetown the Musical”: Theatre 29 alum Easy Boos plays Officer Lockstock, the dark comedy’s narrator. Lockstock’s sidekick, Officer Barrell, will be played by popular Theatre 29 vet Cindy Ross. The story’s unlikely hero, Bobby Strong, will be played by theatre fave Chris Fleischman. Leading lady Katie VanSumeren portrays the heroine Hope Cladwell. Hope’s father, the tyrannical Caldwell B. Cladwell, will be played be Barry Inscore. The key role of Penelope Pennywise will be portrayed by Rebecca Havely, and the role of Little Sally went to Amanda Winters. Also featured in the ensemble-based, musical comedy are Cathy Inscore, Liyan Lagevardi, James Hodgson, Mike Shaw, Cindy Daigneault, Chalise Kunz, Emmi Partridge, Trevor Carpenter, Jared Phillips, Ryan Fleischman and Maddison Tuttle.
“Urinetown the Musical” will run five consecutive weekends from February 27 through March 28 with Friday and Saturday evening performances at 7 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Sunday matinees March 8 and March 22. Tickets are available now at theatre29.org or by calling the theatre box office at 760-361-4151.
