THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD GALA OPENING

“The Mystery of Edwin Drood” opened last night at Theatre 29. In this unfinished story by Charles Dickins, the audience determines the ending. Reporter Rebecca Havely has more information on the play that ends differently every night…

The curtain will rise at 7 p.m. for “The Mystery of Edwin Drood.” The musical comedy mystery takes place in Victorian era England as a troupe of actors presents a play based on an unfinished Dickens novel.  The show features: Leonard Webber, Virginia Sulick, Char Childs, Chris Fleischman, Katie Van Summeren, Cyrus Short, Scott Clinkscales, Dennis “Easy” Boos and many more Theater 29 favorites. The show is directed by veteran theatre director, Charles Harvey.

“The Mystery of Edwin Drood” will run five consecutive weekends at Theater 29 through June 27, with Sunday matinees on June 7 and 21.  Tickets are $8 to $12. For reservations, visit theatre29.org  or call 760-361-4151.
