DESERT GUILDS QUILT SHOW IN PALMS SPRINGS FRIDAY AND SATURDAY

“Quilting Seasons” is the theme for this year’s Desert Guilds’ Quilt Show to be held in Palm Springs March 7 and 8. The show will feature 150 quilts made by members of three quilt guilds, including Cactus Sewables in Yucca Valley, Coachella Valley, and Pass Patchers, from the Banning/Beaumont area.

3.9 EARTHQUAKE NEAR BORREGO SPRINGS LAST NIGHT

A 3.9-magnitude earthquake hit near Borrego Springs last night, according to U.S. Geological Survey reports. The temblor, centered 26 miles south of Palm Desert, struck at 11:10 p.m., sending a jolt through the Coachella Valley. There were no reports of damage or injury.
