SUSPECTED BURGLAR AND GANG MEMBER ARRESTED IN YUCCA VALLEY TUESDAY NIGHT

A suspected burglar and gang member was arrested late Tuesday night after witnesses spotted him trying to break into a truck. According to a Sheriff’s report, a man was in the back yard of his condo in the 56200 block of Buena Vista in Yucca Valley about 9:10 p.m. Tuesday when he heard rattling noises coming from his neighbor’s pick-up truck. He notified his neighbor of the suspected burglary, and the two men discovered that tools and equipment valued at more than $3,000 had been taken from the truck. The men recovered the stolen property in a near-by alley. They then saw a man, later identified as Tommy Dominguez, 20, running, and confronted him. The witnesses told deputies Dominguez flashed gang signs at them and yelled that he was from Los Angeles. Deputies later located Dominguez in the 56500 block of Little League Drive. Tommy Dominguez was arrested for investigation of committing a crime for the benefit of a gang, and grand theft. Dominguez was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
