At its Tuesday meeting, the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors upheld a community appeal of a planning commission decision that gave the go-ahead to a 35-acre solar farm in Landers. James Ramos and Robert Lovingood were joined by the newest supervisor, Curt Hagman, in voting for the appeal brought by the Landers Community Association against sPower Bowman. Janice Rutherford and Josie Gonzales were the minority in the 3-2 vote. Formally stated, the vote was a declaration of intent to grant the appeal, deny the project, and continue the item to the June 2 meeting with direction to staff to formulate findings for denial.
