A Joshua Tree man was arrested Friday, accused of strong arm robbery at Wal-Mart in Yucca Valley. According to a Sheriff’s report, Wal-Mart loss prevention personnel observed Bruce Johnson, 46, of the 61900 block of Begonia, concealing items in his backpack. When security attempted to prevent Johnson from leaving the store, Johnson alleged pushed the employee out of the way and fled the store. After a short foot pursuit, deputies detained Johnson. Bruce Johnson was arrested for investigation of strong arm robbery, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $100,000.
