STEAM CAMP OFFERED AT TWENTYNINE PALMS HIGH SCHOOL

It will be STEAM-y in more ways than one in Twentynine Palms this August. Reporter Dan Stork says invites teenagers to sign up for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics camp at Twentynine Palms High Schoolā€¦
Students in grades 7 through 12, throughout the Morongo Basin are invited to come to Twentynine Palms High School for STEAM camp during the first two weeks of August. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. Campers can make a movie; learn programming, game design, and robotics; study architecture and sports medicine, and be introduced to medical career possibilities. Several of the offerings have priority seating for female participants. Camp is free, but space is limited to the first 25 students who sign up for each of the one-week camps. Look for the registration form online atĀ www.29high.orgĀ or be on the lookout for the camp registration form delivered by mail. Get the application back to Twentynine Palms High School by June 19 for priority registration. Registration closes July 1.
