SPAMALOT OPENS AT THEATRE 29

The eagerly-awaited production of “Spamalot” opened last night at Theatre 29. Managing Editor Tami Roleff tells what to expect…

Theatre 29’s latest production, “Spamalot,” is lovingly “ripped-off” from the movie “Monty Python and the Holy Grail.” Directed by multi award-winning director, Kathryn Ferguson, “Monty Python’s Spamalot” is a farcical re-telling of the legendary tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, and their quest for the Holy Grail. The show features a chorus line of dancing divas and knights, flatulent Frenchmen, killer rabbits, catapulting cows, coconut-carrying swallows and one legless knight. The Broadway hit is now playing weekends through September 21 at Theatre 29. Tickets are $8 to $12 and can be purchased now online at www.theatre29.org, or by calling the box office at 760-361-4151, or through Theatre 29’s Facebook page. “Monty Python’s SPAMALOT” does have some mature themes and parental guidance is suggested. Theatre 29 is located at 73637 Sullivan Rd, just west of Adobe Rd at Sullivan in the City of Twentynine Palms.
