SKY’S THE LIMIT STAR PARTY

Sky’s the Limit will host a star party Saturday, February 7. The star party will start at the Twentynine Palms observatory about 6 p.m. and end about 9 p.m. Jupiter will be as bright as it will be all year and will show a great amount of detail. Several pink and brown equatorial cloud belts and the four Galilean moons will be visible. The Great Red Spot appears as the planet rotates every 10 hours. The Moon rising at 9 p.m. makes this a short event. Bring binoculars, telescopes, water, snacks, chairs, and dress for cold weather. For more information, call 760-367-7222. Sky’s The Limit Observatory and Nature Center is just north of the Twentynine Palms entrance to the Joshua Tree National Park at 9697 Utah Trail.
