The Morongo Grade was closed and traffic was backed up for miles Thursday afternoon due to a single vehicle crash in Morongo Valley. About 12:20 p.m., the driver of an older model soft-top convertible lost control and rolled over once, landing on its wheels near the bottom of the Morongo Grade. The driver, described only as being in his late 40s, was taken to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs.
