The Twentynine Palms Police Department will conduct a DUI/driver’s license checkpoint tonight. Officers will be stopping drivers at an undisclosed location in Twentynine Palms between the hours of 6 p.m. and 2 a.m. Drivers will be checked for signs of alcohol or drug impairment, as well as for proper licensing and registration. The Twentynine Palms Police Department received a grant to conduct DUI checkpoints. The Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Department reminds residents, don’t drink and drive.
