SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT NEEDS PUBLIC HELP IN IDENTIFYING SUSPECTS IN ARMED ROBBERY

The Sheriff’s Department is asking the public’s help in identifying two Hispanic men who are suspects in an armed robbery at the “new” Stater Brothers grocery store on the east end of Yucca Valley. The armed robbery occurred about 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. According to Sheriff’s Sergeant Matt Yost, the two men, in their late teens or early 20s, entered the store and walked out with paying for alcoholic beverages. A store clerk confronted the men, and one suspect, wearing a blue jacket and white pants, swung a knife at the employee, who then backed off. The men fled toward the neighborhood to the east of the store. A photo of the suspects can be seen with this story at 1077fm.com. If you have information about the suspects or the armed robbery, call Deputy Arthurton at 760-956-5001.
