As a reminder over this New Year’s holiday weekend, many off-highway vehicle riders will be out enjoying their OHV’s in the Morongo Basin desert areas. This weekend, the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station will have OHV patrol units out meeting with riders and campers, educating them, and issuing citations if necessary. Riders need to obey all local, state, and federal laws pertaining to open OHV riding areas and should keep themselves up to date on current OHV laws. Remember that all vacant lands belong to someone or some government agency, so please respect private lands and remain on designated OHV riding trails and areas.
