SERVICES SET FOR KAY MCGRORTY OF TWENTYNINE PALMS

Kay Gibson McGrorty, a long-time resident of Twentynine Palms, and co-owner of McGeez Auto Body, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 4. Kay McGrorty is survived by her husband, Mick McGrorty, five daughters, 15 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-grandson expected any day, and many extended family members and friends. She touched the lives of many people in our community, both in her co-ownership with her husband at McGeez, as well as her long-time service at the DMV and her volunteer work at Twentynine Palms Elementary and Oasis Elementary schools. A celebration of life for Kay McGrorty will be held 2 p.m. July 11 at Smith’s Ranch in Twentynine Palms.
