SCHOOL BOARD MEETS TONIGHT

The Morongo Unified School District Board of Education will consider deletion of bylaw sections on policies, bylaws, administrative regulations, as they have been incorporated elsewhere in a re-write of the policy manual. Up for approval are the policy manual itself, plus sections on meetings and meeting materials. The Board will be asked to approve waivers for the California High School Exit Exams for 17 students. Also up for approval is a approve the Memorandum of Understanding with California State University San Bernardino to create a partnership guaranteeing admission for Morongo Unified School District students to that school, as well as revisions to Single Plans for Student Achievement at seven district schools. The public meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Joshua Tree Elementary School, following a 6 p.m. closed session on confidential pupil and personnel matters and collective bargaining discussions.
