RETIRED COLONEL, FORMER TWENTYNINE PALMS MAYOR “MAC” DUBE HAS DIED

The Twentynine Palms civilian and military communities are mourning the death of Col. M.J. “Mac” Dube, who passed away Tuesday at 80 years old. Dube was a longtime Twentynine Palms City Councilman and mayor who had retired from the Marine Corps with many accolades, including a Silver Star for gallantry in action earned in combat in Vietnam. Dube was a longtime leader who was honored as a 2010 Grand Marshal in the Pioneer Days Parade.
