Registration for the Town of Yucca Valley Youth Basketball League is underway and will continue through November 21. The program opens on November 22 with a player evaluation clinic at the Boys & Girls Club Gymnasium. Practices are held weeknights starting December 8 and games take place January through early March. Players must meet grade and age eligibility requirements. For first and second graders, the teams are coed and no score is kept. In the third- through eighth-grade divisions, boys and girls play separately and trophies are given to the first and second place teams. Players will receive jerseys at the first game, along with a complimentary personalized team photo and player button that will be distributed to all league players. Additional photo items will be available for purchase separately. League fee is $60 per child. Participants can register online by visiting www.yucca-valley.org or in person at the Yucca Valley Community Center. The Town of Yucca Valley is also looking for individuals interested in becoming a coach or referee for the upcoming youth basketball league.
