REACH OUT MORONGO BASIN DOING THE HAPPY DANCE

Organizers of the 11th Annual Parade of Homes are doing the “happy dance” due to record-breaking attendance for Reach Out Morongo Basin’s longest-running fundraiser. Reach out raised more than $8,500 with nearly 270 parade-goers from all over—the Coachella Valley, Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties, as well as out-of-state visitors. This year’s tour featured six homes clustered in the Rimrock and Pipes Canyon areas of Pioneertown, Western Hills, and Yucca Mesa areas of Yucca Valley, rather than spread out throughout the Morongo Basin. Reach Out Executive Director Robin Schlosser said, “We had a lot of positive feedback this year as parade goers really enjoyed that the homes were closer together and allowed for more time to explore each one.” The event also featured lunch at the Park Rock Café with live music performed by the Luminators and Celtic Curse. The event brings in 5 percent of Reach Out’s budget for the year.
