“RAGTIME” AT THEATRE 29: A CLOSER LOOK AT THE EPIC MUSICAL

“Ragtime,” transports you back to New York City in the 1900’s to witness the building of America, through the dreams of immigrants, the ugly side of bigotry, and the hope that change can be achieved. Director Charles Harvey, describes his vision. “We are all American and this is the story about us, about our forbearers, what they went through, their triumphs and their tragedies. And this has something for everyone.” Ragtime is a kaleidoscope of toe-tapping music, colorful costumes, and fascinating characters from our past. You’ll be enamored with the beautiful voice of Jennifer Paulk, who plays Mother, and charmed by the charismatic Horace Miller, who portrays Coalhouse Walker Jr. This is a jewel of a performance, that all should come and enjoy. “Ragtime: The Musical” will run through June 1, every Friday and Saturday evening and two Sunday matinees on May 12 and May 26.
