ONE KILLED, THREE INJURED IN YUCCA MESA CRASH SATURDAY

We have few details about a fatal crash in Yucca Valley Saturday afternoon, but what we do know is one person was killed, and three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of Yucca Mesa Road and Douglas Drive at 12:40 p.m. One vehicle rolled over into the desert east of Yucca Mesa Road. The passenger in that vehicle was killed in the crash; the driver was taken to Desert Medical Center in Palm Springs with moderate injuries. The other vehicle sustained major damages but did not roll over; the 25-year-old female driver and a 3-year boy were boy airlifted to Loma Linda Medical Center with serious injuries. The county coroner’s office has not yet released the identity of the driver. The Sheriff’s Department is investigating.
