A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Tuesday evening after his girlfriend said he hit her. According to a Sheriff’s report, about 6 p.m., Rocky Duarte, 30, went to his girlfriend’s home in the 6500 block of Mesquite Springs Road in violation of a restraining order and hit his girlfriend and broke her glasses. The victim told deputies that Duarte had also showed up at her mother’s home in Azusa several weeks ago and said she had to leave with him, and that he threatened her and their child. After an investigation, Rocky Duarte was arrested on suspicion of felony spouse abuse, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
