A Joshua Tree man was arrested for spousal abuse after he got into a physical fight with his boyfriend Friday evening. According to a Sheriff’s report, Rocky Powell, 51, of the 61800 block of Morningside Road, was arguing with his boyfriend about 5 p.m. when the two men began pushing and punching each other. Powell is accused of biting his boyfriend’s arm, and the other man allegedly hit Powell repeatedly in the head. The deputy determined that Rocky Powell was the aggressor in the fight, and he was arrested for investigation of felony spouse abuse, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
