OKTOBERFEST IN YUCCA VALLEY TOMORROW

The third annual Oktoberfest and fall festival is tomorrow, Saturday, October 10, in Yucca Valley. The festival will feature the American Bavarian Brass Band out of Beaumont, which will play all kinds of German music. Our own morning show co-host Pat Michaels will be there all day, along with Tom Huls, who will once again lead the crowd in the chicken dance, and the log-sawing, keg-tossing, and stein-holding contests. Kids are welcome at the Oktoberfest; there will be a special kids zone set up just for them. Tickets may be purchased at the gate for $7 for adults, $3 for children. Oktoberfest will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. at the Little League field between Grand and Palm Avenues, north of the highway. For more information, call 760-365-6323.
