NEW MORONGO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENT SELECTED

The Morongo Unified School District Board of Education announced the selection of Dr. Cecilia English to become the next superintendent. Dr. English currently is the Chief Academic Officer for the Newark Unified School District in Fremont, California. The announcement said she has spent the majority of her educational career in California public schools. During the selection process, the school board reviewed 23 applications from across California and four other states. The board said they conducted individual interviews for six candidates in finally selecting the best qualified candidate. The Board has offered the position to Dr. English, but still needs to finalize an employment contract.
