NEIGHBORHOOD DISPUTE RESULTS IN ARREST FOR RIMROCK MAN

A neighborhood dispute resulted in an arrest of a Rimrock man Tuesday. According to a Sheriff’s report, Dale Addy, 59, was working in his yard in the 52100 block of Pipes Canyon Road about 11 a.m. when his neighbor came outside and started walking his property line to inspect it prior to installing a fence. The neighbor told deputies that Addy confronted him and pointed a .22-caliber revolver in his face and said he was going to shoot him in the head. Addy told the deputies that he always carries his gun with him outside in case of snakes, but denied threatening his neighbor. The deputy found the gun on a counter in the house disassembled, with the cylinder loaded with .22-caliber pest-control bullets. After an investigation, Dale Addy was arrested on suspicion of making terrorist threats, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
