The April 7 meeting of the Morongo Unified School District Board of Education has a 23-item action agenda, including:
- the meeting calendar for next year;
- designation of days to honor teachers and classified employees;
- the superintendent’s delegation of authority;
- the annual temporary borrowing authorization;
- job description for a “Positive Behavior Assistant”;
- agreements with Copper Mountain College about credit by exam or waiver of prerequisites for certain CMC courses;
- board bylaw on board actions;
- board policy on Advanced Placement;
- several course outline, textbook, and program approvals in health career, foreign language, and English.
The 7 p.m. open session treating these subjects follows a workshop/study session at 5:30 on a new state-mandated student assessment program, and a 6 p.m. closed session on pupil and personnel matters. The Board meets at Joshua Tree Elementary School on Sunburst Avenue.
