The Morongo Unified School District Board of Education begins its September 3 meeting with a 5 p.m. workshop on the unaudited actuals financial report, upon whose certification the Board will vote in the 7 p.m. open session. Other action items in the 7 p.m. session are adoption of a life science course outline, a reimbursement increase for a parent of a student attending a non-public school out of District, adoption of the appropriations limit estimates for last year and this year, certification of the revised budget for this year, and approval of the revised attendance calendar for this year. The 6 p.m. closed session between the public meetings again deals with student reentries, anticipated litigation, collective bargaining, and an unspecified issue relating to dismissal, discipline, or release of a public employee. The meeting will be held at the Joshua Tree Elementary School, at 4950 Sunburst Drive.
