The Morongo Basin’s Veterans’ Day tribute alternates between Twentynine Palms and Yucca Valley each year. This year, the ceremony will be held in Yucca Valley Tomorrow, Tuesday, November 11, at the Yucca Valley Community Center. Attendees are invited to arrive at 10 a.m., with the formal program beginning at 11 a.m. The event will include displays of military and public safety equipment, musical entertainment, a community barbecue, and a flag-folding ceremony performed by local Young Marines. In addition, the Mojave Viper Young Marines are sponsoring a Veteran’s Day Breakfast. All veterans, paramedics, law enforcement, firefighters, and their families, are invited to enjoy a free breakfast of pancakes, eggs, bacon or sausage, from 8 to 10 at the Yucca Valley Senior Center.
