A local author, explorer, and photographer will talk about his adventures in the Mojave Desert Sunday, January 4, at Rose and Buster’s Wine Tasting Room in Old Town Yucca Valley. Death Valley Jim has explored Death Valley, Joshua Tree National Park, and the upper Mojave Desert and written several books about secret places in the desert. Death Valley Jim will speak about his discoveries, starting at 2 p.m. Admission is free, but you must be 21 to enter. Rose and Busters is located 55834 29 Palms Highway.
