MISS YUCCA VALLEY 2015 AND HER COURT NAMED

A 16-year-old junior from Yucca Valley High School was crowned as “Miss Yucca Valley” Saturday night at the annual pageant sponsored by the Yucca Valley Rotary Club. Sarah Webb was selected by the judges after a long pageant process. The pageant is not a beauty contest and does not include a talent or swimsuit component; it is based on academics, poise and a written essay. In addition to the crowning of Sarah Webb, judges selected Sydney Rieman as 1st Princess, Carmen Alvarez as 2nd Princess, and Rosie Lemm as 3rd Princess. Lemm also won the essay and Miss Congeniality nod. Rieman was named Miss Photogenic. The pageant saw a full house at the Joshua Springs Thunderdome and was emceed by Cindy and Gary Daigneault. A highlight was the awarding of a grant for pageant scholarships from the Rotary District Governor which was gratefully accepted by Yucca Valley Rotary club President Cynthia Kraemer.
