MINOR INJURIES IN ATV VERSUS VEHICLE CRASH FRIDAY IN YUCCA MESA

A father and son escaped serious injury when the all-terrain vehicle they were on collided with a car in Yucca Mesa Friday evening. About 6:30 p.m., the unidentified man, who had his 3-year-old son with him, was riding his ATV eastbound. As he was crossing Avalon Avenue between Luna Vista and Sunny Sands, he pulled out in front of a vehicle traveling southbound on Avalon. The man suffered a minor injury to his arm and was taken to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs. His 3-year-old son was uninjured in the crash, but was flown to Loma Linda Children’s Hospital as a precaution.
